Disinformation is often used as a tool to distracts citizens from other news, such as demonstrations. So what is the truth behind the rumors of the kidnapping of #HNEC Chairman Dr. Emad Alsaiah?
The claim first appeared on the page of blogger Hani Abu Zukeya, which has more than 52k followers. The post was deleted shortly after. But by then, the rumor had already circulated and was repeated on several other social media pages, such as “Tripoli 24” or “ETAjdabiya”.
